  13. I'm looking for the names of consulting firms in Houston that
  14. specialize in re-engineering corporate IS applications from 
  15. PC-host to the client/server distributed model.

  17. Standard technologies: UNIX/LAN Man/Novell/Pathworks servers 
  18. where relational database, e-mail, comm servers reside; and
  19. client platforms including Windows and DOS machines and Macs 
  20. running client SQL query/update, e-mail applications, etc.

  22. Is this technology being broadly adopted in Houston? In what 
  23. industries?

  25. Am particularly interested in small to mid-size firms, whether 
  26. established or start-up. Large firms (e.g. Andersen) are easier to 
  27. identify from a distance.
