  18. Good lord yes! We ended up using a sendmail.cf from PSI altough we still have a  
  19. few problems with it. We hired a UNIX expert that helped some. I ended up  
  20. buying several books to learn how rulesets worked, etc. What a pain. I'd say  
  21. I've dumped several weeks and several hundred dollars into this. And it STILL  
  22. doesn't work 100% right!

  29. Ditto. This has to be one of the largest voodoo aspects of UNIX. I'm amazed  
  30. that no one has come up with something better. The difficulty is the number and  
  31. variety of problems being addressed by the scheme. There are a few software  
  32. packages available (one came bundled with Neuron modems - the reason we made  
  33. *that* purchase) but they are very simplistic and only handle simple  
  34. connections to one or two Internet access providers.

  39. Unpleasant and expensive. For being a virtual necessity to a member of this  
  40. community it's crazy how complicated and unknown this area is.
