  11. Has anyone ever heard of a program called SLIM110A? It does on-the-fly
  12. compression transparent to all programs.  I tried it a little using a 486DX50
  13. so I can't tell you how it would do on a 286.  Another feature it has is to
  14. allow the user to set the compression ratio, based on if you need speed or
  15. space. It works best if you only compress files you only read from though as it
  16. does not recompress on writing.  But for shareware what do you expect - It
  17. works.
