  13. Hi there,

  15. I have just come into posession of three Conner CP 3044 harddisk
  16. drives. These are slightly defective in the following way:

  18. Installing them in my system makes the harddisk drive led on my
  19. system case burn continually.
  20.  
  21. After turning on the computer hangs at the message "Press <DEL> to run
  22. setup". Pressing the reset button restarts the machine and this time
  23. without trouble and with 40 MB of extra diskspace.

  25. I have heard that these drives need a modification somewhere on the
  26. controler. Can somebody out there tell me what modification????

  28. Oh, yes. I use a clone 386 PC and have no access to news accept
  29. through my friend. Please mail him.
