- I have heard that a 16-bit bus attached to a 68030 is not as bad as
- I'd first thought. The 16-bit bus does not NECESSARILY cripple the
- architecture. I don't have the details, but apparently you can use
- a 16bit bus and multiplex it for upper and lower 16 bits.

- info. I think it may have been with regard to the Apple LC.

- I'm suprised that Bob Brodie, or whoever officially stated that the Falcon
- had a 16-bit data bus did not give these details, however.

- Remember that the Quickindex figures showed the Falcon to be approx 50%
- of the speed of the TT for CPU-memory related tests (not 25%) - indicating
- that the Falcon does not suffer a 50% loss in speed from the 16-bit bus,
- or the TT is 16bit... or 16MHz :-).
