- Use 'Ultra-Pack'. It uses less RAM, gets MUCH better compression (better
- than Lh1). Is just as simple to use.
-
- It will handle compressed files up to 800k if you compress/decompress them
- from an 800k RAM-Disk on a 1meg machine. The program itself uses only
- about 20k for buffers etc.
-
- It's also about the same speed!
-
- (The resulting files are also a lot smaller)
-
- Ultra-Pack 1.1R is on atari.archive.umich.edu in the atari/Archivers/
- directory!
-
- (It was advertised before - but, as with all useful bits of information,
- no-one took any notice)
-
-
- I'm writing my own FAQ, with USEFUL information in it. (e.g. this sort
- of thing, as well as MS-DOS/ST compatibility with disks etc. etc.)
