- I just purcahsed a GVP A530 combo pack. On connection, the unit attempts
- to boot (it tries for about 30 secs) and then gives up. I had a similar
- situation with the GVP Series II controller (a friend leant me), and this
- unit uses the same board. It appears to actually kick in ok - the device
- recognises the drive (it starts whirring) and it attempts to boot (the
- drive flashes during the 30secs) but all the utils report no
- drive being connected at all.
-
- Any suggestion where in the 500 to look? Which chip(s) may be
- responsible? I took out AGNUS and DENISE and replaced them with old
- versions I had lying around, but no go.
-
- (Oh - it worked fine in the store).
-
- Config: A500, 4meg 32 bit ram (on the A530) 1meg chip, Kick 2.04.
-
- Help, please!
-
- regards,
- Darren.
