  12. I recently posted a request for info on the GVP A530 accelerator combo,
  13. I can't be sure whether it got out (feeder problems).

  15. Anyway, I discovered that it has the '030EC. A (possibly unknowledgable)
  16. friend is of the opinion that the MMU is not disabled in these units, just
  17. unwarranted. I always thought it was disabled in the 'EC. Could someone
  18. clarify?

  20. Further, just how much use is the MMU in an AmigaDOS environment? I know
  21. enforcer uses it (and I do a fair amount of 'C' programming), but is it
  22. worth forking out approx. $400 more to get it just for that? Are there any
  23. other uses?

  25. Another thing - the 68030 that is supplied with the '530 is a 40Mhz job.
  26. Is this overclocked or is Motorola actually producing 40Mhz CPU's?

  28. Lastly, to repeat my original question (from the post that may not have been...)
  29. can I have some feedback on the relative worth of the GVP A530 combo? Is
  30. it a decent accelerator option for one who can't afford a 3000/4000 at this
  31. stage?
