- I think that your assumption that non-Artworks users don't need
- version 2.18 if they already have version 2.17 is rather questionable.
- As far as I am aware version 2.18 has other improvements over v2.17
- which are nothing to do with ArtWorks. Plus there is the other
- consideration that anyone who does not have version 2.18 will not be
- able to view documents that contain ArtWorks frames created by others,
- you won't be able to use any ArtWorks clipart that becomes available,
- etc.
-
- Having said that, I'm not opposed to CC making a nominal charge for
- upgrades, however the amount being banded about is a little more than
- nominal.

- My only contact with CC support staff wasn't very useful, but then
- again it was a rather non-standard question I asked (it was about
- hotlinking WordHound with Impression). I got no useful information out
- of them, but this was partly due to the fact that I found out all I
- needed to know before they replied (which was a "why do you want to
- know?" type of reply, which was odd as I'd stated that in my letter
- :-) ).
-
- The only thing that really annoys me about CC is their insistence on
- finding the worst possible protection method for their products (ie.
- dongles and crappy printer cables).
