  12. The COMPAQ drivers for the October Beta of Windows NT SDK are available for
  13. anonymous FTP at wotan.compaq.com in the /pub/compaq/nt/ntssd0.1 directory.
  14. The drivers are located in the file sp0396.exe or in compressed format in
  15. the file sp0396.exe.Z.  sp0396.exe is COMPAQ SoftPaq #396 which is a 
  16. self-extracting archive.  When FTPing, remember to set the file transfer 
  17. type to binary.

  30. A Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) is provided in the HAL directory.
  31. You only need this HAL if you have a Systempro DX2/66 model with 2
  32. processors, or a Systempro/XL with 2 processors.  Otherwise, the
  33. correct HAL will automatically be installed during the installation
  34. of the Microsoft Windows NT October Beta.

  36. 2. NETWORK CONTROLLER SUPPORT

  38. The NDIS 3.0 driver for the COMPAQ Netflex 32-bit Controller and the
  39. COMPAQ 32-bit Dualspeed Token Ring Controller is provided in the NET
  40. directory.

  42. 3. SCSI DEVICE SUPPORT

  44. The device driver for the Integrated SCSI-2 Options Port on the 
  45. Systempro/XL is provided in the SCSI directory.  This device driver 
  46. also supports the Integrated SCSI on the Portable 486C and Portable 486.

  50. The device drivers for COMPAQ video products are provided in the

  63. This is version 0.1 of the COMPAQ Windows NT Beta Support Software
  64. Diskette (SSD).  Other versions will be released as more device drivers 
  65. become available.  Following is a list of devices that will be
  66. supported either by COMPAQ or Microsoft.  The intent at this point in 
  67. time is for Microsoft and COMPAQ to work together to provide these 
  68. COMPAQ-developed device drivers into future Microsoft Windows NT Beta 
  69. and Product releases.  Those items marked with an asterisk have not 
  70. yet been confirmed by Microsoft to be included in the Windows NT Product.
