  14. I'm trying to install X from the SLS distribution on puffin.doc.ic.ac.uk, I
  15. have also tried to put the S3 server on. I repelaced the default X that comes
  16. with the SLS distribution for the s3 server but i get the following error
  17. messages

  19.    Cannot set default font path : 
  20.    Cannot find font 'fixed'
  21.  
  22. the directories for the fonts do exist!
  23.  
  24. I haven't installed the complete X since some of the disks x4,x5 are to big to
  25. fit onto 1.44Mb floppies.

  27. The cannot find font 'fixed' error may be due to me missing off one of the .taz
  28. files cos it doesn't fit on the floppies. If this is the case can someone tell
  29. me in which file the fixed font is.
