- This is worth elaborating on - how many of you have forgotten that
- Maryland was essentially a Catholic colony? While many of you might
- think that having a state dedicated to a particular religious ideaology
- is a bad idea, for the Catholics who were fleeing religious oppression
- in other countries, Maryland was Paradise.
