     Hello! You know, I was just sitting here wondering, "Now, what's wrong
with the world? Just a few short years ago, a nice Jewish boy was a 'find'.
What happened?" Well, I am still optimistic, and I feel that there is still
someone out there who likes me!!

     OK... a little "necessary evil" first. Let me tell you about myself: My
name is Dan, and I'm an 18 year old SWJM (surprise there, huh?). I'm 5'6",
with short medium brown hair, and clear (some have said "beautiful" -- but
that's not for me to say) blue eyes. I suppose I should say little about my
interests, etc., but I'll get into that later.

     First: why am I posting? Well, no, I'm not a "loser", and I am certainly
not "hard-up". However, I always welcome the chance to meet new people, and as
has happened before, sparks could fly... as the NYS Lotto commercial says,
"Hey, you never know!"

     Next: who am I looking for? Anyone who is Single and Female, or if you
prefer abbreviations "S*F". It's not important to me if, say, your interests
are different than mine. I love to learn about new things and activities, and
if you're your own person, so much the better! (I will say this right now: I do
*not* want to hear from 'dopplegangers': those people who try to be just like
someone else.)

     Last: will you please respond? I have heard horror stories from friends
who have used a.p.a. in the past that, "No one ever writes to me. Waah."
Please do not let this happen to me! If you just want someone to have a "pen-
pal" relationship with, or if you're looking for something more, reply to this
post. Remember, though, you have to be part of ECS to reply, so just ping them
(I think the address is [e-mail]), and then write to me!

     Well, if I haven't scared you away, I guess you want to know more about
me. Let's see, like I said, I'm 18. I'm a freshman pharmacy major at the
University at Buffalo (NY, in case you didn't know). I love music, especially
classical or classic rock. I've been playing the piano since I've been 4 years
old, and the drums since I've been 10. I also love acting, hockey, reading,
and (like I said) meeting new people. The only things I hate are asparagus and,
like I said, 'dopplegangers'.

     Hmm... I can't really think of anything else right now, so, just write to
me sometime, and I *promise* I will respond. See ya!
