  1. AutoCAD 10, 11 and 12 Installation Notes

  4. READ THIS FILE COMPLETELY BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO USE THIS PRODUCT !
  5.  
  6. You must run QUICK SETUP from the Main Menu and select an appropriate
  7. monitor type, prior to installing the AutoCAD Display Driver.
  8.  
  9. IMPORTANT: This driver is intended for use with AutoCAD Release 10, 11 
  10.            and 12, Protected mode only.

  14. 1.0     Installation Notes for AutoCAD 386 
  15.  
  16. 1) Make sure AutoCAD has already been installed on your hard drive.
  17.  
  18. 2) To complete the install successfully, you will require the following
  19.    information:
  20.  
  21.     a) The full path name of the AutoCAD directory.
  22.     b) The ATI batch file is called ADIACAD.BAT.
  23.  
  24. 3) From the Install Enhanced Drivers menu select AutoCAD.
  25.  
  26. 4) When INSTALL has completed copying all necessary files, exit the 
  27.    program.  
  28.  
  29. 5) Change directory to AutoCAD base directory and run ADIACAD.BAT.
  30.  
  31. Note:  For AutoCAD release 10 and 11 (Protected Mode) see instructions #7.
  32.  
  33. 6) For AutoCAD R12, follow these steps:   
  34.         
  35.         a) In the AutoCAD directory, run ACAD with the option -R to 
  36.            configure the video display.  
  37.         b) Select the appropriate graphics card from the list.
  38.         c) Select the desired resolution and color depth.
  39.  
  40. 7) For AutoCAD R10 and R11, follow these steps:     
  41.  
  42.         a) In the AutoCAD directory, run ACAD to configure the driver.  
  43.         b) Enter the Configuration menu.               
  44.         c) Select Configure Video Display.                    
  45.         d) select "ADI P386 v4.0/4.1 ...".         
  46.         e) Select the desired resolution and color depth.
  47.  
  48. 8) For further details, please see README.DLX or README.SE after installing 
  49.    the driver.
