  2. If you use this option, then all errors will be written in a log file called FAULTLOG.TXT in your Windows directory.

  4. Here you can change the Windows Setup files search path that Windows uses to find the files when you add a program. You can browse to the right directory by clicking on this button.

  6. Here you can make Windows display a dialog box with a custom message before you logon the system. Simply check the check box and type a caption and the text you want displayed on the dialog.

Here you can set how you want scandisk to run. Never means that scandisk never runs, After prompting means that you will be prompt before scandisk starts. Without prompting means that Scandisk is run automatically. It is always good to have scandisk run after a system failure. So Never is not a recommended option.

  10. By default Windows enables the functions keys on boot, these allows you to control the boot process. Uncheck the box to remove this option.

  16. If you have installed an upgrade version of Windows 9x, you can normally press F4 to boot you previous version of Windows. Use this option to disable that option.
