  8. This text document describes the files which you should have received in the
  9. package, and files which may be created during the operation of Image Page
  10. Wizard.

  13. Inside the Package

  25. After Installation
  26. ------------------

  28. Directly after installation, all the files listed in the package will be in the
  29. installed destination.
  30.  
  31. Once Image Page Wizard has been started once, the following data files will be
  32. created through the Auto-Repair feature:
  33.  * input.dat
  34.  * output.dat
  35.  * filename.dat
  36.  * heights.dat
  37.  * browsers.dat
  38.  * global.dat
  39.  * ie2.dat
  40.  * ie4.dat
  41.  * ns2.dat
  42.  * ns4.dat
  43.  * start.htm

  45. (Please note that in some cases, some of the above files may be installed by
  46. the Installer, instead of the Auto-Repair feature. This usually happens if the
  47. files contained in Auto-Repair are older than the required files.)

  50. Descriptions of the Files
  51. -------------------------

  53. wizard.exe:
  54.  This is the Windows executable of Image Page Wizard.
  55.  
  56. browsers.dat:
  57.  This file combines the browser data files. It is the list that appears in the
  58. browser list.
  59.  
  60. global.dat, ie2.dat, ie4.dat, ns2.dat, ns4.dat:
  61.  These are the data files which contains information about which file types are
  62. recognised by the main Internet browsers. Tampering with these files in any way
  63. could affect the operation of Image Page Wizard.

  65. filename.dat:
  66.  This file contains a list of the HTML file names which you can use/have used
  67. in Image Page Wizard.
  68.  
  69. start.htm:
  70.  This file contains all the text that will go before the images are placed on
  71. the page.

  73. input.dat, output.dat:
  74.  These are lists of the folders you have run Image Page Wizard on. This option
  75. currently cannot be turned off, but such an option shall be implemented in a
  76. future release. To reset the lists, just delete these two files, and an empty
  77. copy shall be created on the next running of Image page Wizard.

  79. heights.dat:
  80.  This file contains the height settings available!

  83. Browser Files

  86. When choosing the browser file, choose from the following...
  87.  
  88. global.dat - support for GIF and JPEG files.
  89. ie2.dat - Image types supported by Internet Explorer 2 and 3.
  90. ie4.dat - Image types supported by Internet Explorer 4 and 5.
  91. ns2.dat - Image types supported by Netscape Navigator 2 and 3.
  92. ns4.dat - Image types supported by Netscape Navigator 4.

  95. File Repairs

  98. All the data files used by Image Page Wizard are repairable. At this time there
  99. is no manual over-ride which can instantly do this, but if you wish to have a
  100. file repaired, just delete the file. Image Page Wizard will recognise the file
  101. is missing and create a fresh copy. If files such as, the text documentation
  102. files are deleted, these will *not* be rewritten.

  104. Unfortunately, at this time, the validity of the data files are not checked. A
  105. future version of Image Page Wizard will include code that will check that all
  106. paths in the data file exist and are valid.
