  1. SITUATION:  ODA 572 is training local forces in the use of SAGGER anti-armor missiles.  
  2. Due to the sensitive nature of our relationship with the HN, this training is being 
  3. conducted at a clandestine location.  Local insurgents have learned of this training and 
  4. plan to attack our advisors and destroy the equipment, in order to discredit the HN 
  5. government by revealing the extent of our military cooperation.
  6.  
  7. ROE:  Rules of Engagement published 14MAR04 are in effect.
  8.  
  9. MISSION: ODA 572 defends objectives NORTH and SOUTH, vicinity YZ020403, commencing 17 
  10. 0930Z NOV 04 to destroy insurgent forces in order to protect the credibility of the HN 
  11. government.
  12.  
  13. ENEMY: Well-trained and well-equipped squad sized element of insurgents supported by 
  14. foreign terrorists acting advisors.    
  15.  
  16. TROOPS: Split Team ôAlphaö 214 and Resistance Fire Team 
  17.  
  18. Terrain:  High-altitude mountain road twisting through heavily forested rocky plains.  
  19. Adverse weather conditions (high winds and fog) prevent air support.  Sparse vegetation 
  20. and rocky cliffs with snow covered ledges.
