  1. SITUATION:  ODA 213 seized three weapons caches intended for use by guerilla forces in the 
  2. vicinity of AO TAGGART.  The weapons are located in three sites within an abandoned town at 
  3. grid TL050404.  Guerilla forces launched a counter-attack to retake the cache sites.

  5. ROE:  Rules of Engagement published 31JAN04 are in effect.  Minimize damage to local 
  6. infrastructure.
  7.  
  8. MISSION: ODA 213 defends objectives Main Street, Alley and South Courtyard, vicinity 
  9. TL050404, commencing 041400MAY04 to destroy guerilla forces in order to prevent re-capture 
  10. of cache sites.
  11.  
  12. ENEMY: Squad-sized forces armed with assault rifles and light machine guns.  
  13.  
  14. TROOPS: One organic Special Forces Operational Detachment ôAlphaö; no other friendly forces 
  15. in support.
  16.  
  17. Terrain: Abandoned adobe village with heavy damage offering numerous covered and concealed 
  18. positions.
