- GENERAL
- INFORMATION: With all the cases of upgrading from NetWare 386 v3.0 to
- NetWare 386 v3.1 going on right now, we are finding that the
- minimum and maximum packet receiver buffers "default" is set
- too low for a lot of networks. In researching the
- documentation to find out how to make the changes permanent,
- this is what we found with NetWare 386 v3.1. (It was all
- done in AUTOEXEC.NCF in v3.0.)
-
- The "minimum packet receive buffers" limit can only be
- changed in the STARTUP.NCF file.
-
- The "maximum packet receive buffers" limit can only be
- changed in the AUTOEXEC.NCF file.
-
- This turns out to be (in a round about sort of way) exactly
- as documented.
-
- (X) This information was verified in the lab.
