- DATE :April 30, 1989

- OS VERSION :2.15
- REVISION :C
- SHELL VERSION :
-
- GENERAL INFORMATION :Apple Internet Router - Another Macintosh
- connectivity solution.
- Apple's Internet Router software allows an Appleshare network to be
- bridged to a Netware fileserver either through Localtalk or Ethertalk.
- For example: Macintosh workstations could be running any topology among
- themselves (ethertalk, tokentalk, arctalk, localtalk). Then the Router
- would have a compatible board (to communicate with the other Mac stations)
- AND an Ethertalk board "bridging" the Mac lan to an Ethernet board
- running Apple drivers in the Netware fileserver; OR the Apple Internet
- Router could attach to the Netware fileserver through localtalk to an
- NL1000 board. It works great and we are using it in testing right
- now.
-
- COMMENTS (Optional) :I had someone ask so I thought you would let
- you folks know too. If you have a customer that will use this Router,
- suggest to them that they DEDICATE the Mac as a Router.
