- INGREDIENTS ------------------------------------------------------------

- 1 Tbsp Butter
- 1 cup Brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp Milk
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 Tbsp Cornstarch
- 1 ea Egg yolk
- 1 tsp Vanilla

- DIRECTIONS ------------------------------------------------------------

- Brown butter, add brown sugar and 2 T. milk, cook to a taffy. Add
- milk, thicken with cornstarch and yolk of one egg. Flavor with one
- teaspoon vanilla. Fill baked pie crust with above and cover with
- merigue made by beating egg whit to a stiff froth to which add 1 T.
- sugar and brown lightly in over. Fills one 9-inch pan.
