- INGREDIENTS ------------------------------------------------------------

- 1 cup Apple - grated
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 3/4 cup Milk
- 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
- 2 ea Eggs - separated

- DIRECTIONS ------------------------------------------------------------

- Beat egg yolks, add sugar gradually; add milk, apples and nutmeg and
- beat well; stir in beaten whites; pour in crust and bake as for
- custard. Serve with or without whipped cream.

- Note: Custard should be baked in a moderate 350 F. oven until center
- of pie is somewhat firm.
