- INGREDIENTS ------------------------------------------------------------

- 3 ea Apples - large
- 1 cup Brown sugar
- 1/4 cup Flour
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 ea Pastry - for 2 crusted pie
- 3/4 cup Water
- 1 Tbsp Vinegar
- 2 Tbsp Butter
- 1 tsp Vanilla

- DIRECTIONS ------------------------------------------------------------

- Mix sugar, flour and salt, add water and vinegar. Cook until thick,
- stirring constantly. Remove from stove and coll. Place sliced apples
- in pie plate lined with pastry. Pour syrup over apples and cover with
- top crust and bake.

- Note: No time or temperature given. Bake in a moderate oven 350 F.
