ConceptDraw is a powerful multipurpose application which helps you

With ConceptDraw you can do this quickly and easily, as it offers you intuitive interface, powerful and easy-to-use graphic tools, and a lot of thematic libraries and document templates supplied.
ConceptDraw is available in two versions: for Windows and for Mac OS and offers you complete cross-platform compatibility between these versions. All ConceptDraw documents, templates and libraries can be opened on a Mac as well as on a PC computer without conversion.
Powerful Tools
ConceptDraw offers a wide choice of powerful and easy-to-use tools for quickly creating business diagrams, thorough research layouts, schemes, plans, etc. For each object you can assign different line colors, fill colors, fill and shadow patterns. Any object may contain text. The Snap and Glue tools help you align points, lines and objects as you draw them and position them precisely.
You can use formulas to define various object parameters and behavior: this gives you virtually unlimited control over objects.
ConceptDraw offers you intelligent connectors which rebuild
automatically when you reposition objects, and avoid crossing other objects. And what is
more, you can turn any object into a connector.
Connectors let you easily create all kinds of charts: technological or business processes,
organization schemes, program project plans, etc.
OLE
(Object Linking and Embedding) compatibility means that a ConceptDraw
document can be edited within any other OLE-compatible application (for instance, MS
Word). And vice versa, any file or document created in another OLE-compatible application
can be embedded into ConceptDraw.
The Import/Export capabilities let you make use of images stored in files of different formats.
The application provides you with extended Internet integration: creating and using hyperlinks, sending documents via e-mail, saving a document in HTML format to place it on the Web easily.

ConceptDraw offers you clear and convenient intuitive interface, and easy-to-use tools
to create the drawings quickly and easily. You don't need to have any artistic talent or
drawing skills to use this application.
Simpler objects can be easily created by using simple graphic segments and the Snap tool.
For more complicated objects, you can use the Libraries supplied with the application.
Most of the widely-used objects you might need are compiled for you and grouped in a
number of task-related libraries. You can just drag an object from the library and drop it
into your document.
Connectors let you tie objects together and keep them connected even if you reposition or
resize them.
And besides, you can look up the detailed description in the Reference Manual any moment you need it.

System Requirements
To install and work with ConceptDraw, the minimal system configuration is as follows:
For the Mac OS/ OS X version (Carbonized):
- Mac OS version 8.6 or higher, with CarbonLib 1.1 or later, or Mac OS X;
- PowerPC processor (minimum);
- 32 MB of RAM (more is better);
- 45 MB of hard drive space available;
- CD-ROM (if you install from a CD).
For the Windows version:
- Windows 95/98/2000, Windows ME or Windows NT 4.0;
- Intel 486 processor (minimum); Pentium processor is recommended;
- 16 MB of RAM;
- 45 MB of hard drive space available;
- CD-ROM (if you install from a CD).

The installation includes:
- the ConceptDraw application, libraries, HTML Help.
- Samples and templates.
- Library Guide in PDF - a print-out of all the libraries (LibraryGuide.pdf).

Mac
OS 8.6 or higher and Mac OS X:
If you receive a message saying that CarbonLib 1.1 or later is required (which is most
likely if you are using an OS earlier than Mac OS 9.1), you'll need to put the correct CarbonLib
file to System Folder:Extensions, to replace an older version.

Windows 95/98/2000/NT/ME:
During the installation process, all necessary files will be copied on your hard drive. The submenu for ConceptDraw or ConceptDraw Professional will be created in the Start menu. The setup program will also place the application icon on your desktop.
