Displaying information about a job

The Job Summary report displays the details about a job, including the source and destination target(s) and tape statistics, such as sequence and session number. This report is the same as the Job Queue Log (found in the Report Manager). However, in the Job Queue Manager, the Job Summary report applies only for the job you select. In addition to viewing the report, you can save it to a text file.

Remember, if you are a queue user, you can only view the Job Summary report for jobs that you submitted. If you are a queue operator, you can view the report for any job in the queue.

To display the Job Summary report for a job:

Highlight the job you want to view.
Click the View Job button.
After confirming, the Job Summary report for the selected job displays. From this window, you can save it to a file.
