Money 99 is fully integrated with the Internet and offers many online features. All you need is a modem and an Internet Service Provider (ISP) (An Internet Service Provider performs the actual connection to the Internet for you. Typically, your ISP will give you a phone number to dial using your modem.) to get started.
- Internal browser Access and browse the Internet from within Money. Just click an Internet link in Money, and Money will display the Web page, making a connection to the Internet if required.
- Web Financial Services Download (When you make an online connection to a bank, financial institution or Web site requesting information (such as a stock quote or bank statement), that information is transmitted over the Internet, or ôdownloadedö, to your computer. You can then use that information in your Money file.) your transactions from your financial institutionÆs Web Financial Services (The ability to do common banking tasks from your computer on a Web site provided by your financial institution.) Web site and update your records electronically so your Money file always matches your bank. If you financial institution (Bank, brokerage house, and credit card provider.) supports it, you can even pay your bills on the Web site and download that payment information into Money.
- Direct Statements Electronically update your bank and credit card records, transfer funds between accounts, check your account balances, and order new checks from participating banks. You can also download online statements (Electronic lists of the transactions that have cleared your financial institution. You can use these lists to update your account records electronically so that the information in your Money file is up-to-date with the account information at your financial institution.) from your brokerage firm. Direct Statements (A direct banking service that allows you to download online statements directly and securely from your financial institution, and depending on your financial institution, transfer money electronically between accounts.) is offered as part of Direct Financial Services (Services provided by your financial institution that allow you to do common banking tasks from your computer via a direct connection with the financial institutionÆs computer.) in Money.
- Direct Bill Payment Pay bills electronically through your computer. This works with any checking account in the U.S. Direct Bill Payment (A direct banking service that allows you to pay bills electronically, which can be used with any checking account in the U.S. After you set up direct bill payment at your financial institution, you can have money electronically debited from your account and your financial institution will send that money to your designated payee.) is offered as a part of Direct Financial Services in Money.
- Online quotes Electronically update the prices of your stocks and mutual funds.
- Electronic bills Have your bills delivered to you electronically through a secure, private Web site where you can view and pay them at your convenience. Associate your E-bills (Bills you receive and pay over the Internet. Same as electronic bills.) with the recurring bills you set up in Money, to help you manage more of your finances from one location.
- Financial information on the Internet Have Money notify you when new articles about subjects youÆre interested in appear on the Internet. Just click the links that appear on your Financial Home Page.
- Microsoft Investor (Financial Suite only) Lets you connect to Microsoft's Investor Web site for the latest investment and financial market information.
- Decision Center With links to articles on the Web (for Financial Suite users only), this is your personalized guide to the basics of good financial management and planning. By combining expert guidance, easy-to-use tools, and your own Money data, Decision Center helps you make smarter financial decisions.
- Microsoft Money Home Page Connect to the Money Web site for information on Money and personal finance, a forum for getting your questions answered, updated product information, and more. On the Help menu, point to Microsoft on the Web, and then click Microsoft Money Home Page.
- Microsoft Technical Support Assists you with modem troubleshooting and specific answers to technical problems. You can go to Microsoft Technical Support on the Internet at http://www.microsoft.com/msmoneysupport.
