Learn about automatic adjustments to living expenses in my plan
Based on the information you include in your lifetime plan, Money adds a living expense adjustment:
- Increase (10% by default) for the birth of each future child.
- Decrease (10% by default) for each child as he or she leaves home (by default, at age 18).
- Increase ($10,000 by default) for each adult dependant that joins your family.
- Decrease ($10,000 by default) at the end of an elderly family member's lifespan.
- Events related to retirement for you and your partner. (By default, these are neither increases nor decreases.)
You can edit any of these automatic adjustments.
