Use the Living Expenses place to enter living expense adjustments such as added expenses related to a new baby or rent payments.
1 On the
navigation bar (The strip at the top of the Money screen where you can click to go to the different areas in Money.), click
Planner.
2 Click Lifetime Planner.
3 In the left pane, click Expenses.
4 Click Living Expenses.
2 In the middle of the screen, click New. The New Living Expense Adjustment dialog box appears.
3 Type a descriptive name for the living expense adjustment.
4 Specify when the expense adjustment will start and end.
5 Tell Money how this adjustment will affect your living expense over time:
- If it will increase by a percentage each year, click the first option and type a percentage.
- If it will increase by a dollar amount each year, click the second option and type the amount.
- If the amount will decrease, click the appropriate option and choose Decrease from the drop-down list. Then type the percentage or dollar amount.
