You can use Windows Media Player to organize digital media files on your computer or network and to organize links to digital media content on the Internet in the following ways:
The links, playlists, and auto playlists are stored in Media Library, which you can use to store of all the digital media content available from your computer.
Files listed in Media Library are automatically grouped into the following categories: Now Playing, All Music, All Video, Other Media, My Playlists, Auto Playlists, Radio, and Subscriptions. Each of the categories, with the exception of Now Playing, contains subcategories such as artist and genre.
Now Playing lists the item that is currently playing even if the item has not been added to Media Library.
After your digital media files are added to Media Library, you can organize them into playlists, or copy them to CDs or portable devices.
