Connecting the USB Devices to the USB Hub (Macintosh Only)

Once the USB hub is connected to the G4 system, you can connect the following USB devices to the USB hub:

USB-to-serial adapter

USB-to-MIDI converterConnecting the USB-to-Serial Adapter

The USB-to-serial adapter (see USB-to-Serial Adapter) connects to a USB port on the USB hub.

To connect the USB-to-serial adapter to the USB hub:

Plug the USB connector portion of the cable into a USB port at the rear of the USB hub (see USB Hub for a port location).

Install the USB-to-serial adapter software, using the instructions located on the USB-to-serial adapter CD-ROM.
