Preparing for Audio Input
The Avid system supports direct input of four channels of audio only when a digital camera or a digital deck is connected via FireWire and the audio sample rate is set to 32ákHz. If a digital camera or digital deck is not connected and the audio sample rate is not set to 32ákHz, the Avid application supports input of two channels of audio. Source track assignments are mapped directly to audio tracks in the captured clips.
