Adjusting Audio Input Levels
You can use the Audio tool and the Audio Project Settings window to check the audio input levels. If the input levels are too high or too low, you need to adjust the output level of your source signal, if possible.
To adjust global audio input levels using the Audio Project Settings
window:

Click the In/Out toggle buttons in the Audio tool for the channels you
are using for input.

The Audio tool displays an I for Input.

Play back the source audio (for example, from a digital camera or
tape). If the recording includes reference tone, cue to the tone and play
it back.

In the Project window, click the Settings tab.

Double-click Audio Project.
|
6. | |
Drag the slider to raise or lower the audio input level.

(Option) If you want extra gain, do the following:

a. | |
Drag the slider toward the bottom of the Input Gain control.
|
b. | |
Click the +20 dB Gain check box.
|
c. | |
Adjust the volume on the Input Level meter.
