Q: What is our motivation?
A: We think, that XML and related standards will enable easy communication among any type of Internet users; the only thing they need to know is how to typewrite and send an e-mail.
Q: What is the general aim of our project?
A: Let people share information easily, quickly, with minimum effort in learning new "technical details"; without need to buy and learn complicated, expensive and often incompatible software or even hardware.
Q: What can we particularly do?
A: Bring XML, XSL and DTD to (1) present or future professional webmasters (mostly "ACTIVE" participants)and (2) to "amateur" active Internet users + Internet end-users (nearly everybody) (mostly "PASSIVE" participants). Please note, that EVERY Internet user is possibly ACTIVE (i.e. he can send easily a contribution in XML format via e-mail).
Q: What we want offer to "professionals" (group 1) (they are beginners in this field too)?
A: THE DEPOSITORY : collect, "update and maintain" (= download new versions) free software, specifications, standards, articles on one place. These information will be freely accessible, open to any remarks, comments, hints, FAQs from other similar users. This will create INFORMATION CENTER for anyone who has some questions, problems about XML, XSL, DTD. The diversity of visitors should result in very interesting FEEDBACK EFFECTS, professionals can listen to vox populi (= their customers), answer, reply, react and improve their work.
Q: What we want to offer to "ordinary" Internet or Intranet users (group 2)?
A: EXPLANATIONS and EXAMPLES: This should be a collection of "minimum installation guides" for different tasks. Single-user: how to create XML contribution and send it by e-mail etc. Multi-user: EDITOR - how to organize collecting of articles, contributions, etc. from differently experienced computer users.
Q: What we DO NOT WANT TO do?
A: Violate any copyright laws, store illegal copies of software.
