With Trusted Zone, you can allow all kinds of network communications with your home or office computers. It is very important to remember that Trusted Zone rules are given the highest priority possible. Even restricted applications can communicate with Trusted Zone hosts. We advise you to put ONLY your absolutely trusted computers into this zone. If you only need file and printer sharing, please use NetBIOS Settings rather than Trusted Zone.
The following topics describe how to use Outpost Firewall to control Trusted Zone settings:
Removing hosts from Trusted Zone
Modifying hosts in Trusted Zone
Trusted Zone is used only for home or office networks. Adding a web site to the Trusted Zone does not affect the settings of your plug-ins, which are part of a different system and are independent of the Trusted Zone module. Just because a web site is in the Trusted Zone does not mean that the plug-in settings no longer apply to that web site. For example, an ad that is blocked by the Ad plug-in will still be blocked in a Trusted Zone web site. To not have an ad blocked from a particular web site, you need to change the settings of the Ad plug-in.
