Pato marrón de cuello largo con el vientre negro y el pico rojo brillante. Tamaño: 43-53 cm.; peso: 650-1,020 g. Audio (M. Oberle). Anida del sur de Texas, pasando por la América Central, hasta el sur del Brasil. Un visitante raro en los humedales de Puerto Rico. TAXONOMÍA: ANSERIFORMES; ANATIDAE; Dendrocygninae. Antiguamente llamado "Black-bellied Tree Duck" en inglés. |
