      DIRECTIVE:  {$S.}

      DEFAULT STATE:  S+

      DIRECTIVE RANGE:  Local

      COMMENTS: This switch enables or disables the generation of
                 stack overflow checking code. In the {S+} state,
                 the compiler generates code at the beginning of
                 each procedure or function, which checks whether
                 there is sufficient stack space for the local
                 variables. If their is a stack overflow and this
                 directive is set to the S+ position a runtime error
                 will occure, otherwise it could result in a system
                 crash.
