      DIRECTIVE:  {$L.}

      DEFAULT STATE:  L+

      DIRECTIVE RANGE: Global

      COMMENTS: When this directive is set to the + state, much of the
                 link process is accomplished in memory. This can
                 unfortunately, use up large amounts of memory. When
                 compiling large programs it is sometimes necessary to
                 set this directive to the - state.
