Hold on one second, I think anyone employed by any company should be thankful of their employment. Perhaps this is not the case for the majority of third world workers, but I know a lot of worse jobs in the UK than working for McD's; like working in a TESCO warehouse. If for some reason people are not happy with the work environment then leave, STOP complaining - JUST GO. I know as well as you all that McD's is hard work but occassionally, when your working with the right people, it can be quite fun.

I care very much how I am treated, and as soon as I am treated poorly then I will leave. But working till on a saturday afternoon is no worse than a sunday morning paper round, or working behind a bar on a friday night.

---> As yet not proven, certainly not for McD's UK which I am talking about and which is financially seperate from the parent company.

produces unhealthy food,

---> Absolute rubbish. Is it any more unhealthy than ANY of the food available in a local shop. Okay, it is no apple or carrot, but it certainly is no worse than your average chocolate bar or greasy kebab.

misleads the public,

---> Into what, exactly?

mistreats its workers

---> Go on....

and.... tries to silence anyone who dares to tell the truth about them.

---> Okay, you've got me there.

And NO these are not small matters and the role of McD on the global scene is not insignificant.

---> Fair enough, but it needs to be put in perspective...

---> Cheap shot, but I like it.

I must admit I am finding it difficult here to find middle ground. What I don't want to do is come accross all pro-McD's (which I probably am), but to note the WAY in which the subject is being treated is misleading...JUST as misleading as McDonalds.

For example, just what is unhealthy about

100% pure beef
Bun
Ketchup
Mustard
Pickle
Cheese
Onion

compared to your average Pizza, for example??

All the best, until next time

RS.
