
Georges Rousse paints pictures in spaces to be lost as a result of the
demolition of buildings or renovation projects, and takes photographs of them.
A space given its last moment of glory by Rousse disappears, preserved onlyin this work. The only titles he gives his works are the places and years theywere created, giving them a stark reality that is all the more memorable.
Along with more than 140 volunteers, he sought the glow of restoration as heperformed creative activities in Kobe, which was severely damaged by thepowerful earthquake of January 17, 1995.
