  34.   Show me something.  I've checked info-mac and the like, and yes there is software, 
  35. but nothing of any particular use.  (Except for maybe a place holder on someone's
  36. hard disk.)  And, as I told you, out of maybe 5 large superstores around here, only one
  37. has _*ANY*_ mac software, and not much at that.  Mind you I live between Akron and Cleveland,
  38. so I'm not out in the sticks.  If I gave a damn about screen savers, calendars, and event
  39. timers, maybe there'd be something out there, but I don't, and I doubt I'm alone.

  48.   They're busy because there aren't many.  Figure the ratio of IBM to mac ftp sites
  49. on the net, and get back to me.  IBM users have a little more selection and room
  50. to spread out.

  52.   Actually, the only thing that would be REALLY useful for a mac for me right
  53. now is diskcopy, so I can transfer the system 6.0.1 disks to my old IIGS, but
  54. they haven't gotten that to work yet, and they're 800k images anyhow.  Face it
  55. people, the comparison of mac to IBM would be like Chris Robinson (lead singer
  56. of the Black Crows) vs Mike Tyson in a boxing match.  I only have executor because
  57. its something to play with, like linux and X-windows.  (However, I get much more
  58. functionality out of linux and X-windows, and I'm not even hardwired to the net.)

  60.   Show me some games of the calibre of DOOM (That come out on time), like 
  61. Wing Commander 3 or 4, and maybe ftp & telnet servers (shareware), stuff like
  62. Kali that allows multi-player games over the internet, and some more heavy duty
  63. programming stuff than resedit.  (Something that actually allows you to enter
  64. input and compile in C)  Show me some IRC clients that are up to par with mIRC.
  65. Everything that I have listed here, I can get for the IBM, for free yet, and
  66. with all or more functionality than commercial software.  I haven't spent any 
  67. money in a year or two on software, and I'm not lacking.

  79. chip on his shoulder;  also, I don't like to leave things undefended.
