- Our goal is to split so that one team continues to implement more of
- System 7 natively and another team adjusts Executor so that System 7.5
- can be dropped on top of it. There are some tricky legal issues
- involved and it costs a lot of money so we can't do the split until
- Executor 2 is shipping.

- Copland is too hard to predict but by the time it's out we should have
- a much heftier revenue stream to draw from.

- Actually, for its first several years Insignia's products *couldn't*
- support enhanced mode on the 386. Their product that does support
- that is less than a year on the market and although Insignia's
- software is much more compatible with the apps that run under it, it's
- also *significantly* slower than Executor.

- Mat Hostetter has already done much of the work that is necessary to
- do PPC emulation. We are indeed planning on supporting that in the
- future. There will be a performance hit, of course, but part of the
- genius of Mat's new synthetic CPU is that we'll be able to target
- other architectures as well, so a real cranking Alpha may be able to
- emulate a PPC at a pretty impressive rate. We won't have actual
- numbers for a few more months, though.
