  1. We have been having some major problems with our mail system
  2. for the last week. The backlog is now being cleared. However
  3. you may receive messages more than once.

  8. Environment:
  9. E/L 1.99q9 running under FreeBSD 2.1R (XFree 3.1.1), on a fairly generic
  10. Intel 486DX4/100 system, 16M RAM, Adaptec 1542CP SCSI card with both SCSI
  11. and IDE drives in system.
  12. Running Quicken 5 (standard, not deluxe or anything else) under Executor
  13.  
  14. Printing a Register from Quicken 5 acts really weird.  Nothing comes out
  15. of the printer, and Executor hangs around forever and eventually dies
  16. with no error messages, leaving large (I mean HUGE!) spool files in the
  17. printer area and a lot of lpd and ghostscript and other processes running
  18. rampant.

  20. I've tried diddling with the command-line switches (-memory, -applzone,
  21. etc.), printing both small and large Quicken accounts (I even tried
  22. printing an account with no transactions in it), hey I've even
  23. considered making animal sacrifices using my keyboard as an altar.
  24. Still, no dice.

  26. Again, yes I am a FreeBSD user.  I unfortunately lack a Linux system to
  27. test on.  If someone with a Linux or other type of box can spare some
  28. time and try this out on their system, I'd really appreciate it, that way
  29. I can help narrow down whether it's a FreeBSD-specific bug or a more
  30. general bug or whatnot.
