  14. Well, I think the point is that apple doesn't *want* to have their 
  15. OS running on an intel box.  They came out with PowerPC based macs 
  16. to replace the intel box and do just what you are 
  17. suggesting--porting everything to one platform so that everyone can 
  18. be happy with one box and their favorite OS.  It would be rather 
  19. stupid for apple to port MacOS to X86 because it mean that they are 
  20. working against themselves.
