- Mat and Joel have done a good job. Thanks also go to Pat for doing
- such a bang up job on the high level and linux low level
- implementation.
-
- Bill> First bug, Photoshop still doesn't run.
-
- Yes, we haven't been able to look into that yet. The problem is that
- it *does* run over here and we just haven't had the time to try to
- track down why it doesn't go on your system. This is still a very
- high priority for us, it's just slightly lower priority than what
- Mat's been working on (sound and Mac formatted media problems) and
- what I've been working on (Executor 2 CD-ROM layout).

-
- Well it's a little trickier from our perspective because we didn't
- actually write Illustrator, and Executor really doesn't have any
- knowledge of what it is doing, per-se. Executor just follows
- instructions (at the low-level, the instructions are machine code, at
- a higher level the instructions are OS calls and Toolbox traps). In
- general an incompatibility is a case where we don't follow
- instructions in quite the same way that the Mac does, but figuring out
- exactly where we differ is tricky.
-
- Bill> I don't know if these are bugs, or by design, but your

-
- That is by design.
-
- Bill> Also, if I
- Bill> go into the preferences panel, and set preferecnes, IE,
- Bill> Direct Disk Access, Sound, or whatever, and click SAVE, it
- Bill> doesn't save the info.
-
- It should. It should save the info and remember it on a
- per-application basis. In other words if you're running Browser and
- make some mods and then hit save, the next time you run Browser the
- prefs you saved should be used. On the other hand, if you were
- running Tex-Edit, and you made some mods and hit save, then the prefs
- should affect Tex-Edit next time it's run.
-
- If that isn't how your system is working, we'll need to ask you some
- questions to figure out what's going wrong. Perhaps your "configur"
- directory was deleted.
-
- Bill> I hope this helps. If I can do anything else testing the

-
- We'll definitely ask you more questions once we've freed up a little
- time over here.
