  1. I think Ardi should consider OS/2 porting more seriously.

  3. It comes out of two reasons.

  5. 1. OS/2 users are the ones who are willing to pay
  6.    money at their software but are hungry at qualified
  7.    softwares.  These days, os/2 users can use windows
  8.    3.x software seamlessly but no more win32 programs.
  9.    (though newer win32s 1.25 beta works some..)
  10.  
  11.    It's time for os/2 users to taste Mac software now,
  12.    instead of win32 programs.  Although, Executor 1.99q7
  13.    works under my Warp (Compaq Presario CDS 972) now, 
  14.    I'm sure the performance will be much better if compiled
  15.    for os/2 native code excaping VDM overhead

  17. 2. IBM is the largest hardware/software company in this
  18.    world. (not microsoft)  And since os/2 lacks end user
  19.    software, they do all their best to support developers.
  20.    For Examples, they pay US rebates to for every OS/2 
  21.    one applications saled that bundles os/2 package.
  22.    (For example, borland C/C++ for OS/2 bundles os/2 itself
  23.    and gets rebate from IBM)  I don't know about US rebates,
  24.    but in my country, it's about US $25.

  26.    Also, there are lots of money IBM spends on supporting
  27.    OS/2 developers.  I sincerely advice you people at
  28.    ardi to contact IBM and get their money, before they
  29.    get real MAE for OS/2 directly from Apple!  I'm sure
  30.    that IBM will pay for you if you develop Executor for
  31.    real OS/2, not for it's DOS box.
