- Here in comp.emulators.mac.executor, adam@tucson.princeton.edu
- (Adam J. Thornton) spake unto us, saying:
-
- >Well, during that month, how about you guys look at the DAPIE stuff
- >IBM has put into OS/2 with Fixpack 17, so you can figure out which parts
- >of the Win 95 code you could share with OS/2 code, encapsulate the
- >non-portable UI parts, and give us an OS/2 native version too.
-
- I think IBM is encouraging the term "DAX" to describe the Developer API
- Extensions, not "DAPIE". FWIW...
-
- >Using DAPIE would make it easier to keep the sources for the OS/2 and
- >the Win 95 versions close together.
-
- Very true.
-
- >And I'd buy an OS/2 license, though not a Win32 license.
-
- You're not the only one. I can't run a Win32 version here, and frankly
- don't care if one EVER exists. But a native OS/2 version would be very
- useful to me.
-
- Not that the DOS version is *bad* in a VDM. :-)
