  1. Using NIH-Image under E/L(X)1.99q I still experience a few bugs. 
  2.  
  3. 1) Image's built-in text editor breaks frequently, forgetting the insertion
  4. point and improperly redrawing text (like when you backspace past the
  5. beginning of a line.) 
  6.  
  7. 2) It's mostly cosmetic, but the selection tools are not displaying until
  8. the mouse is released. (Maybe only under X?)
  9.  
  10. 3) The line selection tool leaves permanent garbage when dragged around
  11. outside of its original bounds (sometimes).

  13. OTOH I managed to implement a sort of unix "semaphore" and now I can use 
  14. Image as a display device and trigger Image macros from other X processes.
