- In OS/2land, a copy of GZIP also exists, and it works quite well. But we
- also have PKZIP 2.04g-compatible utilities from the nice InfoZIP folks
- that are freeware (and support EAs!). :-)

- The advantage PKZIP's format has is a high level of recognition. If a
- DOS user downloads a ZIP file, chance are extremely high that he/she will
- understand what needs to be done to extract the contents.

- GZIP is *not* well-know in the DOS world. On BBSes it's practically
- nonexistant.
