- Welp, I ended up buying such a card off someone here on campus. It ends up
- making some difference, but for programs like the rotating globe program I'm
- not seeing much of a change. I'm still planning on keeping the board for
- other reasons (such as I can populate to 2MB).

- However, in my testing I found out something very interesting. -privatecmap
- _slows down_ some programs dramatically, notably Civilization. It would be
- nice to find out if anyone else knows of programs that are somewhat usable
- without a private colormap and that are almost totally unusable (due to
- speed concerns) with a private colormap. This really surprised me, as all
- my inuition (and information) pointed to -privatecmap as being decidedly
- faster.
