  2.     I just set up 1.99m here - looks really good so far.  This is 
  3. almost ready for "prime time" so to speak, in my opinion.

  5.     About the video speed - when animation is off, things seem 
  6. smoother now than they did under 1.99k.  Did the 4-dirty-rect code make 
  7. it in here or something?  Whatever was done seemed to improve things.

  9.     I like the new background, too.

  11.     Most of what follows is nitpicking/bug reports... things which 
  12. ALMOST work, but still need a little bit more work done.  These are much 
  13. better than 1.99k though.

  15.     PageMaker 4.2 ALMOST works for me.  The one major problem right 
  16. now is that File/Place dosen't work, reporting "unknown file type"  This 
  17. is a pretty old bug.  I think it's becuase it's running some checks on 
  18. each file, and the filesystem code has some sort of a bug in it which 
  19. dosen't report what Pagemaker needs.

  21.     Running Executor/Linux under XF86_Mono is much closer now too.  
  22. The only problems is that the background turns into a semi-randomish dot 
  23. pattern (this happens in -bpp 1 too), and the mouse cursor is inverted.

  25.     I haven't tested printing yet.

  27.     In general, 1.99m + a few bug fixes + a couple of minor features 
  28. mentioned by Cliff (formatting disks) + the hack-a-thon + one/two last 
  29. debugging release(s) should be 2.0.  I can really feel it getting much closer 
  30. now... keep it up!
